The ultimate appetizer
Serves 8 - 10
Ingredients
1/2 Head iceberg lettuce medium chopped
1/3 lb sliced mortadella
1/3 lb sliced salami
1/3 lb sliced capicola
1/3 lb sliced provolone
1/3 lb boiled ham
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
2 six oz can Italian tuna in olive oil
1 can pitted black olives
1 2 oz. can anchovy filets
3 hard boiled eggs peeled and sliced
Kosher salt
Instructions
1. Slice all the meat and cheese into 1 inch strips.
2. Cover a large platter with the chopped lettuce and drizzle with 2 tbl oil
3. Cover the lettuce with half each of the cold cuts and drizzle with more olive oil.
4. Repeat step 3 with the remaining cold cuts
5. Drain the 2 cans of tuna and crumble over the platter
6. Arrange the olives, sliced eggs and anchovies on the platter.
7 sprinkle the eggs with salt and drizzle with more olive oil.
8. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate preferably overnight.
9. Remove from refrigerator at least 2 hours before serving.
