Let me tell you why you should visit this website at least once a week., and also why you should be sharing this site with your friends and family. This site is going to be dedicated to food, wine, and my culinary experiences that I believe you will find quite interesting. My fascination with food began over sixty years in the Bronx, New York. My family would go food shopping on Arthur Ave. every Saturday afternoon. I would sit in the car with my father, looking for a parking space, while my mother shopped in the market. I was amazed at the amount of people going in and out of the market, butcher shop, bakery, and fish store. I remember counting how many would come out of the butcher carrying a lamb or goat over their shoulders. By the way, nothing has changed. It’s still impossible to park, and they still carry lambs and goats to their cars. I now live in New York’s Hudson Valley so I have best of both worlds. The valley has great restaurants and fresh local produce, and I’m just a little more than an hour by car from the Bronx and Manhattan. I still shop on Arthur Ave about 8 times a year. I always look forward to seeing the familiar faces of Peter, Mike and Jimmy at Peters Meat Market, Chris at Borgatti’s Pasta, and Dave at Mike’s Deli. But the best part is having lunch at Enzo’s or Zero Otto Nove.
